I did my internship in March 2011 five weeks at the 17th floor of the Gaon House, directly at the promenade with a beautiful view at the beach and at the modern and agile city of Tel Aviv – Jaffo.
Arriving at the Heskia – Hacmun Law Firm, I was welcomed very friendly, open - minded and warm by everyone of the firm. My tasks were very diverse, from translating documents from German into English, writing responses to clients, working on a case of the Jewish Claims Conference till dealing with patents / trademarks, going to administration offices and attending a court hearing.
The working hours at the firm were from 10 am till approximately 5 pm. But after having finished with work, one could go earlier, so nobody was that strict with working hours.
At the same time, another intern from Germany was working with me, so it was always a very unstressed atmosphere inside the firm, which lasted my entirely stay.
The most contact I had with Adi, the legal trainee at the law firm. He is a very pleasant and open minded young man, with whom I sometimes spent my breaks and whom we could contact to provide us with work.
Besides this work, everyone in the Heskia - Hacmun Law Firm wants the interns to travel around and discover the fascinating landscape, culture and tradition of Israel.
There was always somebody, either the lawyers or the secretary, to answer arising private questions like what to do in the evenings or how to spend the weekends. Everybody working at the firm was supportive and very familiar.
I highly enjoyed my time at work and I was pretty disappointed having my last day. I am very satisfied with my time; if it were possible, I would like to stay longer at the Heskia – Hacmun Law Firm.
